AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
Auditions are open to vocalists or instrumentalists who are students in the 9th through 12th grades of High School and have studied voice or their instrument for two or more years. Students must be currently studying with a private teacher. Application forms shall include a recommendation from the private teacher. Students must meet the residency in one of the following communities:  Attleboro, North Attleboro, Plainville, Wrentham, Foxboro, Mansfield, Norton, Taunton, Dighton, Rehoboth, Seekonk, Franklin, Sharon, Canton, Walpole, Easton, Cumberland RI, Pawtucket RI. An applicant may be a son, daughter or student of a Chaminade Music Club member in good standing.

Applicants must present two selections from one of the following musical periods:  Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Impressionist, or 20th-21st Century. All repertoire must be in what is generally understood to be a classical idiom. Total time of the applicant's performance should not exceed fifteen minutes. Applicants are required to perform their selections from memory. It is better for a student to select music which they can perform well rather than to select music that is too difficult. The Club will assist the candidate in securing an accompanist, if needed. Three copies of music for each selection must be provided for the judges at the time of the audition. Questions about suitability of repertoire should be addressed to the Chair of Music Awards Committee. Final decisions of suitable repertoire will rest with the Chaminade Music Club Executive Board.
